A cluttered inbox is one of the most reliable sources of lost focus at work. Scanning through hundreds of emails to find what matters — and deciding what to do with the rest — can eat up far more time than the emails themselves are worth. Floutwork’s Smart Inbox Cleaner handles the sorting for you: it groups your emails by type so you can make fast, bulk decisions and get to zero without reading each one individually.
1

Open your email app inside Floutwork

Navigate to Gmail, Outlook, or your email client of choice using the Launchpad or sidebar. Because Floutwork is a work-focused browser, your email opens inside the same window as the rest of your work — no separate tab or app to switch to.
2

Open the Smart Inbox Cleaner from the sidebar

Click Smart Inbox Cleaner in the sidebar. The panel opens alongside your inbox. You don’t need to leave your email app or navigate away from the page.
3

Review the automatic email groupings

Floutwork reads your inbox and groups emails by type — newsletters, notifications, receipts, direct messages, calendar invites, and so on. You see a summary of each category with a count of emails, not a long flat list.
The groupings happen automatically. You don’t need to set up filters or rules — Floutwork identifies email types from the content and sender patterns it finds in your inbox.
4

Bulk archive, delete, or keep each category

For each group, decide what to do with the whole batch:
  • Archive — clear the category without deleting, in case you need to search for something later.
  • Delete — remove emails you’re confident you won’t need.
  • Keep — leave a category untouched if it needs your attention.
One click per category. When you’ve worked through each group, your inbox is clear.
For categories like newsletters or notifications, you almost never need to read each email — archive the whole group at once and search if you ever need one specifically.
5

Repeat for each category until inbox is at zero

Work through each category from the top of the list. Most inboxes clear in under two minutes once the grouping has done the heavy lifting. When you’re done, your inbox contains only the emails you’ve chosen to keep.
Run the Smart Inbox Cleaner once a day — ideally at a fixed time, like the start of your morning or end of your workday. A daily habit prevents the inbox from building up to unmanageable levels again.
The Smart Inbox Cleaner also surfaces calendar invites and document shares as a separate category, so you can quickly accept events or open shared files without them getting buried in the rest of your email.
