0.13.9

Released May 30, 2025

Features

  • Drag-and-drop app organization — You can now drag an app in the Work Launchpad and drop it onto another app to instantly create a folder. You can also drag apps into existing folders to organize them more easily.

Enhancements

  • Improved bookmark import — Bookmarks imported via the “Import Bookmark” button now preserve their original folder structure using tags.
  • “Prompts” renamed to “Assistants” — The term “Prompts” in AI chats has been updated to “Assistants” to better reflect their purpose and functionality.
  • Performance improvements — Several enhancements were made to make built-in apps quicker and more responsive.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the “Restore Tabs” function failed to restore certain tabs, including project tabs.
  • Resolved a bug where the Start Page displayed tasks from a previous workspace after switching workspaces.
  • Addressed unresponsive areas on the Archive and Delete buttons in the Smart Inbox Cleaner app.
  • Fixed a problem where apps within folders and pinned to the left navigation bar did not appear correctly.
  • URLs in AI responses now open in a separate window instead of full screen, restoring expected behavior.
  • Resolved an issue where some tasks created using the “Add task with AI” feature reappeared after being marked complete.

0.13.5, 0.13.6, 0.13.7, and 0.13.8

Released May 15, 2025
Versions 0.13.5, 0.13.6, and 0.13.7 contained an issue that prevented auto-updates from working correctly. Version 0.13.8 fixes this and is otherwise functionally identical. If you are on an earlier 0.13.5–0.13.7 build, updating to 0.13.8 or later restores automatic updates.

Features

  • Bring tabs into your AI chats — You can now include open browser tabs as context in your AI chats. Open AI Chat (from the top-right corner), click the + Context button above the message box, select the relevant tabs, and start your conversation. This makes it easier to research across tabs, get feedback on Figma designs, or receive help with slides — without disrupting your workflow.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the “Import Bookmarks” button in the Bookmarks app was unresponsive.
  • Resolved a bug causing broken images in Project Spaces when a favicon was missing from a saved tab.
  • Older AI chat messages (from before the previous release) no longer display raw HTML text.
  • Addressed a modal issue where pressing “Esc” correctly closed the window but prevented it from reopening.
  • Fixed premature truncation of long app names within app folders.
  • The Side View panel now has a minimum width to maintain usability even in smaller windows.
  • Resolved a problem where password importing failed.
  • Workspace active/inactive indicators now correctly display when selecting a workspace.

0.13.4

  • Streamlined Start Page — The Start Page now features a cleaner, more minimal design with fewer icons. Access all your apps via the apps icon at the end of the search bar.

  • Non-blocking input during AI responses — You can now begin typing your next message while the AI is still responding.
  • Persistent avatar and notification icons — The avatar and notification icons are now always visible within any built-in Floutwork app.
  • Cleaner calendar availability insertion — Short intervals under 15 minutes are now ignored when inserting availability via the right-click menu, reducing clutter.

  • The “Reconnect Email Account” message now remains visible and clickable.
  • Right-click note saving now works from all workspaces.

  • Bookmarking via keyboard shortcut occasionally saved the incorrect tab URL — this is now corrected.
  • Re-authentication for one email account no longer incorrectly affects others.
  • Notes saved using “Add to most recent note” from secondary workspaces now save to the correct note.

  • “Move to Another App” feature restored — The ability to move a tab to another app via right-click is back.
  • “Reopen Last Closed Tab” fixed — This feature is now functioning correctly.
  • Accurate Floutwork window titles — When opening a web app in a Floutwork window, the correct app name is now displayed.

0.13.0

Released February 13, 2025

Features

  • Smart Start Page — The new Floutwork Start Page provides a focused, minimalistic view to help you begin your work. From a single place you can open web pages, apps, bookmarks, and tasks; start notes or an AI chat; and see your next scheduled task or meeting and join it with one click. Access the Start Page anytime by clicking the plus (+) icon in the browser bar.
  • Flows: save and restore your workflows — Flows let you save and resume your current workflow. Instead of keeping numerous tabs open, click the check icon at the end of the tab strip to save your current session as a Flow. Floutwork stores the tabs and clears your browser bar for a fresh start. You can rename, delete, or bulk-delete saved Flows, pin important ones for quick access, and open the Flows panel with Cmd+Ctrl+T (Mac) or Ctrl+Alt+T (Windows).
Flows were renamed to Project Spaces in version 0.13.1.
  • Full-screen mode — Activate full-screen by clicking the full-screen icon in the browser bar or using F11 (Windows) or Cmd+Ctrl+F (Mac).
  • Redesigned browser bar — The browser bar is now more streamlined and minimal, with an always-visible address bar, auto-shrinking when no tabs are open, and one-click access to apps, recent tabs, bookmarks, and more.

Enhancements

  • Sleeker Command Bar — The Command Bar is now more compact while retaining all existing functionality.
  • Improved meeting experience — Clicking “Join Meeting” from the Floutwork Calendar, Start Page, or a reminder modal now opens your meeting in a new window — ideal for screen sharing.
  • Better tab dragging — Dragging a tab out of the main window now opens a full-featured Floutwork window with the browser bar, instead of a bare window.
  • Pop out tabs to another monitor — Right-click any app or tab and select “Pop Out to Another Monitor” for a seamless multi-monitor setup.
  • Upgraded Pomodoro Timer — You can now start a Pomodoro session even without a task. The timer tracks 25-minute work sessions and 5-minute breaks and keeps a running count of completed sessions. Start it via the clock icon in the browser bar or by clicking “Start Task” on any task.
  • Split View enhancements — Each split-view pane now has its own address bar, allowing independent navigation.

Fixes

  • Tasks app — The “Completed Tasks” tab now correctly displays more than 20 tasks.
  • Notes app — Task checkboxes now properly indent when pressing Tab, making it easier to create nested task lists.
  • Command Bar positioning (Windows) — The Command Bar now opens on the same display as the Floutwork window, instead of defaulting to the primary display.
  • Background tabs — Tabs opened in the background (via middle-click or right-click → Open in New Tab) now correctly display labels and favicons.
