Access all your apps via the apps icon at the end of the search bar. * **Code block support in AI Chats** — AI chat responses now display syntax-highlighted code blocks, each with its own copy button. ### Enhancements * **Improved auto-scroll in AI Chats** — Responses now scroll more naturally so you can start reading immediately without waiting for the full message to load. * **Non-blocking input during AI responses** — You can now begin typing your next message while the AI is still responding. * **Persistent avatar and notification icons** — The avatar and notification icons are now always visible within any built-in Floutwork app. * **Cleaner calendar availability insertion** — Short intervals under 15 minutes are now ignored when inserting availability via the right-click menu, reducing clutter. * **Clear "Save" button for notes** — When saving selected text from web pages as notes via right-click, a clear "Save" button now appears in the popup. ### Fixes * Improved spacing between main and split views when viewing Floutwork apps side-by-side. * Fixed an issue where tasks couldn't be marked complete from the side view. * Resolved slow loading in the Bookmarks app. * Recently closed tabs now correctly appear in history and can be searched via the Command Bar. * Line breaks in AI responses now copy and insert correctly. * Fixed a missing "Insert" button when using AI in certain text boxes. * Resolved an issue preventing the "Connect Outlook" button from being clicked after closing the Microsoft authentication popup. * Popping a tab or app out to another monitor now works as expected in all cases. * Fixed an issue where web apps in the left navigation bar didn't launch correctly in some cases. * Fixed duplicate history entries caused by slight URL variations on the same page. * Removed double scroll bars in the **Smart Inbox Cleaner** app. * The "Reconnect Email Account" message now remains visible and clickable. * Right-click note saving now works from all workspaces. * Fixed occasional HTML code appearing in note titles. * Bookmarking via keyboard shortcut occasionally saved the incorrect tab URL — this is now corrected. * Re-authentication for one email account no longer incorrectly affects others. * Notes saved using "Add to most recent note" from secondary workspaces now save to the correct note. *** ## 0.13.2 **Released March 25, 2025** ### Features * **New AI models: Gemini 2.0 Flash and Perplexity Sonar Pro** — Both models are now available in the AI Chats model dropdown. * **Add files to AI Chats** — You can now attach images, PDFs, and text files to your AI chats. Hover over the attachment icon next to the chat message box to see supported file types for each model. * **AI Chats from the right-side panel** — AI Chats are now accessible from the right-side panel. Click the AI sparkle icon at the top-right corner of any web page to launch them. * **New "Overdue" section in planned tasks** — Overdue tasks now appear in a separate **Overdue** section instead of being grouped under **Today**, making it easier to stay focused on what's current. ### Enhancements * **Design refresh** — Floutwork has a new logo and app icon. This feature is now called **App Spaces**. * **Project Spaces (formerly "Flows")** — Previously known as "Flows," **Project Spaces** lets you save and revisit groups of tabs with an improved experience. Click the check icon at the beginning of your tab list to save tabs as a project. Access saved projects via the **"Projects"** tab in the left navigation bar by clicking the plus icon. You can also pin projects to the nav bar by right-clicking and selecting **"Pin to Nav Bar."** * **Simplified browser bar** — The top browser bar has been refined to align more closely with traditional browser layouts. Access the Start Page anytime by clicking the **plus (+) icon** in the browser bar. * **Flows: save and restore your workflows** — Flows let you save and resume your current workflow. Instead of keeping numerous tabs open, click the **check icon** at the end of the tab strip to save your current session as a Flow. Floutwork stores the tabs and clears your browser bar for a fresh start. You can rename, delete, or bulk-delete saved Flows, pin important ones for quick access, and open the Flows panel with **Cmd+Ctrl+T** (Mac) or **Ctrl+Alt+T** (Windows). When an update is available, Floutwork will notify you inside the app. You can also check for updates manually from the app menu. ## Next step Once Floutwork is installed, head to the [Quickstart](/quickstart) to set up your workspace and start working. # AI Assistants: workflow-specific AI for every task Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/features/ai-assistants Use pre-built AI assistants for Jira, writing, marketing, and more — or create your own — directly from any web page inside Floutwork. General-purpose AI chat is powerful, but it requires you to write detailed prompts every time you want consistent, structured output. **AI Assistants** in Floutwork are pre-configured for specific workflows — write a Jira ticket, draft a commit message, generate UI copy — with the right instructions already built in. You can use them from any open tab in your workspace and create your own when your workflow calls for something custom. ## Pre-built assistants Floutwork includes a set of pre-built assistants for common work tasks. Each one is tuned for a specific type of output. Generates complete Jira tickets from a description of the work. Output includes a goal statement, implementation steps, and acceptance criteria — structured and ready to paste. Generates interface microcopy for buttons, form labels, tooltips, error messages, and empty states. Useful when you need precise, concise language for UI elements. Drafts posts for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and other platforms from a topic or brief. Adjusts tone and format for each platform. Generates a clear, conventional commit message from a description of your code changes. Follows common commit message conventions. ## Assistant categories Beyond the named assistants above, Floutwork includes assistants organized into categories to help you find the right tool for the work: Write project briefs, status updates, and meeting agendas. Draft design specs, user stories, and UX annotations. Generate campaign copy, product descriptions, and email drafts. Prepare agendas, action items, and follow-up summaries. Improve, expand, or reformat any piece of writing. Structure strategic documents, OKRs, and roadmap items. Draft shared docs, team announcements, and async updates. Document workflows, SOPs, and process templates. ## Using an assistant from any web page AI Assistants are available from anywhere in your Floutwork workspace. You do not need to navigate away from the tool you're using. Click the **AI Assistants** icon in the Floutwork sidebar. The panel opens alongside your current page. Browse by category or search by name. Click the assistant you want to use. Each assistant has a focused input area. Describe the task, paste relevant content, or reference the open tab you're working in. Copy the result directly into the app you're working in — Jira, Slack, your email client, a doc — without switching windows. Because AI Assistants run alongside your open tabs, you can have Jira open in the browser and use the Jira Ticket Creator on the same screen. No copy-pasting between windows. ## Creating a custom AI assistant If none of the pre-built assistants match your workflow exactly, you can create your own. A custom assistant is a saved combination of a system prompt, a model, and an input format. Select **Create custom assistant** from the panel. Describe what the assistant should do, what format it should output, and any constraints. Be specific — the more precise the prompt, the more consistent the results. Select the AI model this assistant should use. Different models perform better for different output types. Give the assistant a name and save it. It appears in your Assistants panel alongside the pre-built options. Custom assistants are saved to your workspace and available every time you open Floutwork. You can edit them at any time as your workflow evolves. ## Use cases across your tools AI Assistants are designed to work alongside the tools you already use: * **Jira** — Generate a ticket while looking at a bug report or feature request * **Slack** — Draft a team update or announcement while in your Slack workspace * **Email** — Write a polished reply or summary directly from your inbox * **Docs** — Expand an outline, improve a draft, or reformat a document ## What's next Step-by-step guide to getting the most from AI Assistants in your daily work. Use free-form AI Chat for open-ended questions alongside your work. # AI Chat: all leading models in one workspace Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/features/ai-chat Access ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity from a single AI Hub inside Floutwork — with open browser tabs as context, no app-switching required. Most people who use AI for work end up with five separate browser tabs — one for ChatGPT, one for Claude, one for Gemini — and spend time copying context between them. Floutwork's **AI Hub** brings every leading model into a single chat window inside your workspace. You can switch models, add your open tabs as context, and keep the conversation going, all without leaving what you're working on. ## The AI Hub The **AI Hub** is the single place in Floutwork where you access all AI models. Open it from the sidebar and you'll find every model available in one interface — no separate logins, no tab-switching, no copying prompts between windows. Click the **AI Hub** icon in the Floutwork sidebar. The chat panel opens alongside your current browser session. Select the model you want to use from the model picker at the top of the chat. You can switch at any point in the conversation. Type your message and press Enter. Responses appear inline — no page load, no new tab. ## Available models Floutwork includes five leading AI models in the **AI Hub**: OpenAI's most capable general-purpose model. Strong at writing, analysis, coding, and reasoning across a wide range of tasks. Google's high-capability model with a large context window. Well-suited for long document analysis and multi-step reasoning. A faster, lighter Gemini model optimized for quick responses. Good for high-frequency tasks where speed matters more than depth. Anthropic's model with strong performance on nuanced writing, careful reasoning, and instruction-following. Updated to version 4.6 in Floutwork v0.16.4. A research-focused model that grounds responses in real-time web sources. Best for questions that benefit from current information. You can switch between models within the same chat window without starting a new conversation. This is useful when you want a quick first pass with a fast model, then a more thorough response from a deeper one. ## Tabs as context One of the most useful features of AI Chat in Floutwork is the ability to add open browser tabs directly as context for your conversation. Instead of copying and pasting content, you point the AI at what you already have open. In the AI Chat input area, click the **Add context** button (or use the keyboard shortcut). A list of your open tabs appears. Select one or more tabs whose content you want the AI to reference. Type your question or instruction. The AI will use the selected tab content as part of its response. Tabs as context is particularly useful when reviewing a long document, comparing two pages, or asking the AI to help with something specific to your current work — without having to explain it from scratch. ## How AI Chat in Floutwork differs from opening ChatGPT in a separate tab | | Floutwork AI Hub | Separate browser tab | | ---------------------- | --------------------------- | ------------------------ | | Model switching | In the same window | Open a new tab per model | | Context from your work | Add open tabs directly | Copy-paste manually | | Access while working | Sidebar, always available | Requires switching tabs | | Memory of past work | Personal Memory integration | No persistent context | Opening ChatGPT in a separate tab means leaving your current context every time. The **AI Hub** stays in your workspace so you can ask a question, get an answer, and continue working without breaking your flow. ## What's next Use pre-built assistants tailored to specific workflows like Jira, Slack, and writing. Step-by-step guide to getting the most from AI Assistants in your daily work. # Notes: capture work context from anywhere Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/features/notes Open an instant notepad from any web app, organize notes with tags, and let Personal Memory surface relevant notes when you need them most. Work thoughts arrive at inconvenient times — mid-meeting, while reading a doc, during a review. Floutwork's **Notes** gives you an instant notepad you can open from anywhere inside Floutwork, without navigating away from what you're doing. Notes you capture become part of your **Personal Memory**, so they come back to you when they're relevant rather than disappearing into a folder you'll never open. ## Opening the instant notepad You do not need to navigate to a Notes section to start writing. The notepad is available from any web app inside Floutwork. Click the **Notes** icon in the Floutwork sidebar. The notepad opens alongside your current page. Type immediately — no template to fill out, no title required. Capture whatever you need to remember. Type a `#tag` anywhere in your note to categorize it. You can add multiple tags to a single note. ## Tag-based organization Tags keep your notes organized without requiring a rigid folder structure. Add tags as you write — `#meeting`, `#decision`, `#follow-up`, `#project-name` — and filter your notes by tag any time you need to find something. Keep a consistent tag vocabulary. A small set of tags you use consistently (such as `#decision`, `#action`, `#reference`) is more useful than many specific tags you only use once. ## Accessing notes from anywhere Your notes are always a click away in the Floutwork sidebar, regardless of which workspace you're in or which web app you have open. You do not need to switch to a separate notes application. Notes sync across your Floutwork session in real time, so anything you capture is immediately available whether you're in the browser, the AI Chat, or any other part of Floutwork. ## Personal Memory Every note you write feeds into **Personal Memory** — Floutwork's persistent layer that learns from your work over time. Personal Memory also tracks your tasks, chats, and bookmarks. When you're working on something and relevant context exists in your notes, Personal Memory surfaces it automatically. If you wrote down a decision three weeks ago and you're now reviewing the same topic, that note can come back to you without any searching. Personal Memory is at the heart of Floutwork. The more you capture in Notes, Tasks, and AI Chat, the more context it builds — and the more useful it becomes over time. ## Quick notes vs. longer notes Not all notes are the same. A quick note is a thought you want to preserve without interrupting your flow. A longer note is structured reference material you'll return to. Both work in Floutwork's notepad. * Open the notepad, type a few words, close it. * Use a tag so you can find it later. * Don't worry about formatting — completeness matters more than polish at capture time. * Use the notepad as a lightweight working doc for meeting notes, research summaries, or decisions. * Add multiple tags to make the note findable from different angles. * You can use the AI Chat alongside your note to help expand, summarize, or structure it. ## What's next Use AI to help draft, expand, or summarize your notes. Keep your workspace clean so notes are always easy to reach. # Productivity Metrics: understand how you actually work Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/features/productivity-metrics Get an automatic daily productivity score with insights into wins, time gaps, and growth opportunities — no manual tracking or timers required. Most productivity advice is generic. Floutwork's **Productivity Metrics** is specific to you. It watches how you work throughout the day — which tools you use, how you move between them, where time goes — and calculates a daily productivity score automatically. No manual input, no timers, no tagging. The result is an honest picture of your workday that helps you improve the parts that actually matter. ## What the Productivity Metrics dashboard shows The **Productivity Metrics** dashboard gives you a daily view of how your work breaks down. Open it at the end of a session or the start of a new one to review what happened. The dashboard surfaces: * **Your daily productivity score** — a single number that reflects the quality and focus of your workday, calculated automatically from your workflow patterns. * **Wins** — moments where your work was focused, consistent, and effective. * **Gaps** — periods where time was lost to distraction, task-switching, or unproductive patterns. * **Time allocation** — a breakdown of where your time went across apps, tasks, and contexts. * **Growth opportunities** — specific, actionable areas where small changes could meaningfully improve your productivity. ## How the productivity score is calculated Floutwork calculates your productivity score by analyzing your actual workflow throughout the day. It looks at patterns such as how focused your work sessions were, how much time you spent in deep work vs. context-switching, and how well your actual activity matched your planned tasks. The score is entirely automatic. You do not need to start or stop timers, tag your work, or fill in any logs. Floutwork derives your score from what you're already doing inside the workspace. There is no single right score. What matters is the trend over time and what the breakdown tells you about where to focus your attention. Productivity Metrics reflects your work inside Floutwork. The more you use Floutwork as your primary work environment, the more accurate and useful your metrics become. ## Understanding your wins and gaps The wins and gaps breakdown is the most actionable part of the dashboard. Wins highlight what is working — focused blocks, consistent task completion, reduced context-switching. Reading your wins helps you understand which habits to reinforce and which times of day you're at your best. Gaps show where time was lost. This might be frequent task-switching, long stretches without meaningful progress, or patterns of distraction. The dashboard surfaces these specifically so you know where to intervene. Growth opportunities are suggested improvements based on your specific patterns. These are concrete — not generic productivity tips, but observations about your actual workflow with suggestions for how to change them. ## Using metrics to improve your workday The goal of **Productivity Metrics** is not to measure you — it is to help you work better. Here are practical ways to use it: Spend two minutes at the end of each work session reviewing your dashboard. Note your score, one win, and one gap. Pick the growth opportunity that resonates most and try to apply it over the following week. Track whether your score in that area improves. A single day's score tells you less than a week's worth of data. Look for consistent wins and recurring gaps to understand your true work patterns. If your metrics show that your most productive time is the morning, use that insight when scheduling tasks. Let the data inform when you block time for deep work. Productivity Metrics is most valuable when you use Floutwork consistently. The more data it has, the more precise the insights become — and the more clearly it can distinguish a genuinely bad day from a recurring pattern. ## Personal Memory tie-in **Productivity Metrics** connects to **Personal Memory**, Floutwork's persistent layer that learns from your work across notes, tasks, chats, and bookmarks. As Personal Memory builds up a picture of what you work on and how, your productivity insights become increasingly tailored to your actual workflows rather than generic productivity patterns. Over time, this means your metrics dashboard reflects not just what you did today, but how today fits into your longer-term work habits — and what you can do to improve them. ## What's next A step-by-step guide to reading your metrics and turning insights into better work habits. Use task planning to turn productivity insights into better-scheduled workdays. # Smart Browser: a browser built for deep work Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/features/smart-browser Learn how Floutwork's built-in browser keeps your web apps organized by context, eliminates distractions, and lets you stay in flow all day. Most browsers are built for everything — shopping, social media, news, ads. Floutwork's **Smart Browser** is built for one thing: work. It organizes your tabs by app, keeps your projects in separate workspaces, and opens every web tool you need without ever leaving Floutwork. The result is a browser that reduces noise and keeps your attention where it belongs. ## What makes it a work browser A standard browser treats every tab equally. You open Slack, then Gmail, then a Jira board, then accidentally land on a news site. Tabs accumulate, context collapses, and focus disappears. The **Smart Browser** works differently: * **Tabs stay grouped by app.** All your Gmail tabs stay together. All your Slack tabs stay together. You always know where to look. * **No ads, no distractions.** A built-in ad blocker removes advertising from every page you visit. * **Full-screen mode** hides everything outside the browser window so you can work without visual noise. * **Web apps open inside Floutwork.** You never need to switch to Chrome, Edge, or Firefox — your tools live in one place. The Smart Browser is not a replacement for your personal browser. Think of it as a dedicated work environment. Keep Floutwork open for work and use your regular browser for everything else. This separation alone can significantly reduce distraction. ## Tab grouping by app Every time you open a web app inside Floutwork, the Smart Browser automatically groups its tabs together. If you open three Gmail windows, they cluster under Gmail. If you open two Jira boards, they sit together under Jira. This means you spend less time hunting through a flat tab bar and more time doing the work. ## Workspaces **Workspaces** let you organize your browser around different projects, clients, or roles. Each workspace holds its own set of tabs, pinned apps, and context — completely separate from your other workspaces. Open the **Workspaces** panel and click **New workspace**. Give it a name that matches the project or role. Open the web apps you use for that context — your project management board, team chat, relevant docs. They stay in this workspace. Click any workspace in the panel to instantly switch to that project's environment. Your other workspaces stay exactly as you left them. ## Launchpad The **Launchpad** gives you instant access to your most-used web apps without searching or typing URLs. Pin any web app to the Launchpad and open it in one click from anywhere in Floutwork. The Launchpad is always visible regardless of which workspace you're in, so your go-to tools are never more than one click away. ## Full-screen mode and ad blocker When you need to focus, switch to full-screen mode to hide Floutwork's sidebar and any surrounding UI. The page fills your screen and nothing competes for your attention. The built-in ad blocker runs automatically — no extension to install, no configuration required. Ads are stripped from every page you visit inside the Smart Browser. ## How web apps open inside Floutwork When you click a link or open a tool in Floutwork, it loads directly inside the Smart Browser. You do not get redirected to Chrome or another browser. This keeps your work consolidated and means your **Workspaces**, **Tasks** panel, **Notes**, and **AI Chat** are all available without switching applications. Some web apps may prompt you to open links in an external browser. In most cases you can dismiss this and continue in Floutwork's browser without any loss of functionality. ## What's next Set up workspaces for your projects, clients, and roles. Pin your most-used tools for one-click access. # Tasks: capture and schedule work without losing focus Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/features/tasks Add tasks from any web page, let Floutwork schedule them into your calendar, and use AI to plan your work — all without breaking your flow. Switching apps to write down a task is one of the most common ways to lose focus. Floutwork's **Tasks** panel lives beside whatever web page you're viewing, so you can capture what needs doing, get AI help planning it, and have it automatically scheduled into your calendar — without ever leaving your current context. ## Adding a task from any web page The **Tasks** panel sits alongside your browser. You can open it at any point while working — reading an email, reviewing a Jira board, or going through a doc — and add a task in seconds. Click the **Tasks** icon in the Floutwork sidebar. The panel opens to the right of your current web page without navigating away from it. Enter what needs to be done. You can add a due date, priority, or notes directly inline. Press Enter to save. The panel stays open or collapses — your web page is exactly where you left it. You can add a task while reading an email and immediately go back to reading. The side-by-side layout means task capture takes seconds, not a full context switch. ## AI-assisted task planning If you have a vague idea of what you need to do but are not sure how to break it down, you can ask the AI to help you plan it. Describe the work in plain language and the AI will suggest specific, actionable tasks you can add directly to your list. AI task planning uses your current context — including any open tabs you've added — to make suggestions that are relevant to what you're actually working on. ## Calendar scheduling Floutwork automatically schedules your tasks into your calendar so you always know when you'll do them. Rather than keeping a list of things that never get done, each task gets a dedicated time slot. This means you do not have to manually decide when to work on each item — Floutwork looks at your workload and your calendar and finds the right time. Calendar scheduling works with your connected calendar. Tasks appear as blocks on your calendar, not just reminders, so they hold actual time in your day. ## Smart Inbox Cleaner The **Smart Inbox Cleaner** helps you manage email volume without spending hours triaging. It groups your emails by type — newsletters, notifications, receipts, and more — so you can bulk archive or delete entire categories at once. This is not a full email client. It is a focused tool for clearing inbox noise so you can focus on messages that actually require action. ## Staying in flow while capturing tasks The biggest risk when capturing tasks mid-work is losing the thread of what you were doing. A few habits that help: * Keep the **Tasks** panel pinned open while doing planning or review work, closed while doing focused execution. * Use short, clear task names. You can add detail later — the goal at capture time is not to lose the thought. * Let the AI help when a task feels too large. Breaking it down at capture time makes scheduling more accurate. If you're reading something and want to remember to act on it later, you can capture it as a task directly from that page. The task stays linked to your context without requiring you to leave the page. ## What's next Use AI to break down complex work into actionable tasks. Use Smart Inbox Cleaner to clear email noise fast. # Clean your email inbox in under 2 minutes Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/guides/clean-your-inbox Use Floutwork's Smart Inbox Cleaner to automatically group, bulk-archive, and clear your email without opening every message one by one. A cluttered inbox is one of the most reliable sources of lost focus at work. Scanning through hundreds of emails to find what matters — and deciding what to do with the rest — can eat up far more time than the emails themselves are worth. Floutwork's **Smart Inbox Cleaner** handles the sorting for you: it groups your emails by type so you can make fast, bulk decisions and get to zero without reading each one individually. Navigate to Gmail, Outlook, or your email client of choice using the **Launchpad** or sidebar. Because Floutwork is a work-focused browser, your email opens inside the same window as the rest of your work — no separate tab or app to switch to. Click **Smart Inbox Cleaner** in the sidebar. The panel opens alongside your inbox. You don't need to leave your email app or navigate away from the page. Floutwork reads your inbox and groups emails by type — newsletters, notifications, receipts, direct messages, calendar invites, and so on. You see a summary of each category with a count of emails, not a long flat list. The groupings happen automatically. You don't need to set up filters or rules — Floutwork identifies email types from the content and sender patterns it finds in your inbox. For each group, decide what to do with the whole batch: * **Archive** — clear the category without deleting, in case you need to search for something later. * **Delete** — remove emails you're confident you won't need. * **Keep** — leave a category untouched if it needs your attention. One click per category. When you've worked through each group, your inbox is clear. For categories like newsletters or notifications, you almost never need to read each email — archive the whole group at once and search if you ever need one specifically. Work through each category from the top of the list. Most inboxes clear in under two minutes once the grouping has done the heavy lifting. When you're done, your inbox contains only the emails you've chosen to keep. Run the **Smart Inbox Cleaner** once a day — ideally at a fixed time, like the start of your morning or end of your workday. A daily habit prevents the inbox from building up to unmanageable levels again. The **Smart Inbox Cleaner** also surfaces calendar invites and document shares as a separate category, so you can quickly accept events or open shared files without them getting buried in the rest of your email. ## What's next Turn important emails into tasks so nothing slips through the cracks. Apply the same focused approach to your browser tabs that you just used on your inbox. # Organize your tabs and workspaces in Floutwork Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/guides/organize-your-tabs Learn how to stop using tabs as a to-do list and use Floutwork's automatic tab grouping, workspaces, and Launchpad to stay focused. Most people end up with dozens of open tabs because their browser has no concept of work context. Tabs become a makeshift memory system — a mix of half-read articles, open tickets, and things you meant to do later. Floutwork solves this by grouping tabs automatically by app, giving you dedicated workspaces for each project or role, and making it easy to capture unfinished work as a task or note so you can close the tab with confidence. When you open Floutwork, your tabs are automatically grouped by app — all your Gmail tabs together, all your Slack tabs together, and so on. You don't have to drag or sort anything. Switch between apps using the sidebar rather than scanning a row of favicons. **Workspaces** let you separate your work into distinct contexts — for example, one workspace for your main product, another for a side project, and another for admin tasks. To create a workspace: 1. Click the **Workspaces** icon in the left sidebar. 2. Select **New workspace**. 3. Give it a name and choose which apps belong to it. Switch between workspaces in one click. Only the apps and tabs for that context are in view, so your focus stays sharp. Name workspaces after roles or outcomes (e.g., "Engineering", "Client work", "Weekly planning") rather than vague project codes. You'll switch between them faster. The **Launchpad** gives you instant access to the apps you open every day without hunting through tabs. 1. Open **Launchpad** from the sidebar. 2. Select **Edit Launchpad**. 3. Pin the apps you use most — email, your project tracker, your docs tool, and so on. Apps in the Launchpad open immediately and stay within the same Floutwork window, so you never leave your work context. The **Command Bar** lets you jump to any open app, workspace, or recent page by typing its name. Press the keyboard shortcut to open it, type a few characters, and go. This replaces the habit of scanning through a row of tabs to find what you need. The most important shift is stopping yourself from leaving a tab open as a reminder. Instead: 1. When you find something you need to act on later, use the one-click capture to turn it into a task in the **Tasks** panel. 2. If it's reference material you'll want again, save it as a note. 3. Close the tab. This is the core of the **Explore → Capture → Commit** workflow: explore freely, capture what matters, commit to acting on it at the right time, and close everything else. The goal is bounded exploration. Give yourself permission to open tabs while researching, but set a clear endpoint: once you've found what you need, capture it and close what you opened. **The "tabs as tasks" trap:** If you're keeping a tab open because you don't want to forget something, that tab is doing the job a task should be doing. Capture it in **Tasks** instead. Tabs used as reminders pile up fast and erode your ability to focus on what's in front of you. ## What's next Set up and customize workspaces for each of your projects and roles. Pin your most-used apps for instant access from anywhere in Floutwork. Capture to-dos from any web page and manage them alongside your browser. # Plan and schedule tasks with AI in Floutwork Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/guides/plan-tasks-with-ai Use Floutwork's AI task planning to break down work, add tasks without losing your place, and automatically schedule them into your calendar. Managing tasks and managing your time are usually two separate problems — you have a task list in one tool and a calendar in another, and keeping them in sync is a job in itself. Floutwork combines both: the **Tasks** panel lives alongside whatever web page you're working on, so you can add and plan tasks without breaking your flow, and Floutwork schedules them into your calendar automatically so you always know when you'll do each one. Click **Tasks** in the left sidebar. The panel opens alongside your current browser view — you don't need to switch apps or open a new window. Your existing tasks, grouped by date and priority, are visible at a glance. You can capture a task without leaving the page you're on: 1. While viewing any web page inside Floutwork, open **Tasks** from the sidebar. 2. Click **Add task** or use the quick-capture shortcut. 3. Type a task name. Floutwork uses the context of your current page to pre-fill relevant details where it can. Add tasks as soon as you think of them — even mid-research. Capturing the thought immediately means you can close the tab or keep reading without holding the to-do in your head. For larger or more complex tasks, Floutwork's AI can help you think through the work: 1. Select a task from the **Tasks** panel. 2. Click **Plan with AI**. 3. Review the suggested subtasks or steps that Floutwork generates. 4. Edit, remove, or reorder steps to match how you actually want to approach it. The AI uses the context of what you're working on — the page you have open, the project you're in — to make the planning suggestions relevant to your actual work, not generic templates. Once your tasks are captured and broken down, Floutwork schedules them automatically: 1. Set a due date or priority on a task. 2. Floutwork finds available time in your calendar and blocks it for that task. 3. Your calendar and your task list stay in sync — no manual time-blocking required. Your automatically scheduled tasks appear in your calendar view. From here you can: * Drag tasks to a different time slot if something changes. * Mark a task complete directly from the **Tasks** panel — the calendar block updates automatically. * Check upcoming tasks to see what's planned for the rest of your day or week. Spend two minutes at the start of each day reviewing your scheduled tasks. A quick scan helps you spot conflicts or tasks that need to move before they become a problem. Tasks stay synced with your calendar in both directions. If a meeting is added that overlaps with a scheduled task, Floutwork will flag the conflict so you can reschedule. ## What's next Explore all the ways to capture, organize, and prioritize tasks in Floutwork. Use AI Chat to think through projects, draft content, and get answers without leaving your workflow. # Track and improve your daily productivity score Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/guides/track-productivity See how Floutwork automatically scores your daily workflow, surfaces where your time goes, and helps you spot patterns to improve over time. Most productivity tracking requires you to manually log time or fill in reports — which means the tracking itself becomes another task. Floutwork's **Productivity Metrics** work differently: they measure your workflow automatically as you use Floutwork throughout the day, then surface a daily score, a time breakdown, and specific insights about where you're focused and where you're losing time. No manual input required. Click **Productivity Metrics** in the left sidebar, or navigate to it from your home screen. The metrics dashboard shows your current day's data alongside recent history so you can see trends at a glance. At the top of the dashboard, you'll see your productivity score for the day. The score reflects your actual workflow — how much focused work you did, how often you switched contexts, how well your time mapped to your planned tasks, and similar signals. The score is calculated automatically from how you work inside Floutwork. The more you use Floutwork as your primary work environment, the more complete and accurate your score becomes. Below the score, **Productivity Metrics** shows a breakdown of where your time went across apps, projects, and categories. You can see: * Which apps you spent the most time in. * How your time was distributed across different workspaces or projects. * How much of your day was spent in focused work versus context-switching or communication. This breakdown is generated from your actual activity — nothing needs to be configured in advance. Floutwork surfaces specific insights based on your data — not just numbers, but interpretations: * **Wins:** things that went well, like a long uninterrupted focus session or a day where your schedule matched your plan. * **Gaps:** patterns that cost you time, like frequent app-switching, time spent in low-priority areas, or tasks that ran over. * **Growth opportunities:** specific areas where a small change in behavior could improve your score. Check your metrics at the end of each workday as a short reflection habit. Five minutes of review at the end of the day is enough to notice patterns before they become entrenched. Use what you've learned from the insights to plan tomorrow: 1. Look at which type of work got crowded out today. 2. Add or reprioritize tasks in the **Tasks** panel to reflect what you want to protect time for. 3. Let Floutwork reschedule tasks into your calendar based on the updated priorities. Over time, the combination of daily review and intentional planning creates a feedback loop — your metrics improve because you're making better decisions based on what the data shows. The longer you use Floutwork, the more context the metrics have to work with. Insights become sharper over weeks as Floutwork learns your typical patterns and what "a good day" looks like for you specifically. ## What's next Dive deeper into the metrics dashboard, score components, and how insights are generated. # Use AI Assistants to speed up your workflows Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/guides/use-ai-assistants Access pre-built AI Assistants for writing, project management, and more — or build your own — without leaving the app you're already working in. AI tools are most useful when they're close to the work, not in a separate chat window you have to copy and paste into. Floutwork's **AI Hub** puts a library of purpose-built assistants directly alongside the apps you use every day — Jira, Slack, Gmail, Google Docs, and more. Pick the assistant that matches what you're doing, run it in context, and keep moving. Click **AI Hub** in the left sidebar. The hub opens as a panel next to your current browser view. Your open tabs stay in place — the assistant works alongside whatever app you have open, not instead of it. The **AI Hub** includes assistants organized by category. Some of the most commonly used ones: | Assistant | What it does | | ---------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Jira Ticket Creator** | Drafts a structured Jira issue from requirements, notes, or a brief description | | **UI Copy Writer** | Generates clear, concise interface copy for buttons, labels, and error states | | **Social Media Post Writer** | Turns notes or long-form content into ready-to-publish posts | | **Commit Message Helper** | Writes conventional commit messages from a diff or change description | Additional categories include Meetings & Agendas, Strategy & Planning, Writing & Editing, Marketing, Operations & Processes, and Real-time Collaboration. Click an assistant to open it. The assistant is aware of your current context — the page you have open, the content visible in your browser — so its output is grounded in what you're actually working on rather than a blank prompt. Assistants use the context from your current tabs to make their output relevant. For example, if you have a requirements document open, the **Jira Ticket Creator** can read that page and draft a ticket directly from it. You don't need to leave Jira, Slack, your email, or your doc to use an assistant. Run it from the panel, review the output, and paste or apply it directly in the app next to it. **Example — creating a Jira ticket from a requirements doc:** 1. Open your requirements document in Floutwork. 2. Open **AI Hub** and select **Jira Ticket Creator**. 3. The assistant reads the page and drafts a ticket with a title, description, and acceptance criteria. 4. Copy the output into Jira, or let the assistant create the ticket directly. **Example — writing a LinkedIn post from your notes:** 1. Open your notes in Floutwork. 2. Select **Social Media Post Writer** from the **AI Hub**. 3. Paste or point to the notes you want to use. 4. Review the drafted post and publish. Pin the assistants you use every day to the top of the **AI Hub** for one-click access. You won't need to scroll through categories each time. If none of the pre-built assistants match your workflow exactly, you can build your own: 1. In the **AI Hub**, select **Create assistant**. 2. Give it a name and describe what it should do. 3. Optionally add instructions, context, or a prompt template. 4. Save and use it alongside your other assistants. Custom assistants are useful for recurring tasks that are specific to your team, your tools, or your way of working — things a generic assistant won't handle well out of the box. ## What's next See the full library of pre-built assistants and learn how to configure custom ones. If you're new to Floutwork, start here before moving on to download and setup. ## What is Floutwork? Floutwork is a desktop app that brings your work browser, tasks, notes, AI chat, and productivity metrics into a single focused workspace. Instead of juggling dozens of tabs across multiple windows and switching between standalone apps all day, you work inside one environment designed entirely around getting things done. Think of it as a Personal Work OS: a structured layer on top of your computer that organizes the tools you already use — Gmail, Slack, Notion, Linear, and hundreds of others — and adds intelligent features on top. ## The problem Floutwork solves The browser was built for browsing the web, not for doing deep work. Most knowledge workers end up with 30+ open tabs, no clear separation between projects, and constant context-switching that kills focus and makes it hard to know what got done. Floutwork replaces that chaos with structure: * Tabs are grouped automatically by app, so your Gmail tabs never mix with your Figma tabs. * **Workspaces** separate your different projects or roles with a single click. * Everything — tasks, notes, AI, and your web apps — lives in the same window. ## Key capabilities | Capability | What it does | | -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | | Smart browser | A work-focused browser with automatic app-based tab grouping | | Workspaces | Separate, switchable contexts for different projects or roles | | Launchpad | Quick access to your most-used web apps | | Tasks | Capture tasks from any page and schedule them into your calendar | | Notes | Instant notepad with tag-based organization | | AI Chat | ChatGPT 4o Pro, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and more in one window | | AI Assistants | Pre-built and custom assistants for common workflows | | Smart Inbox Cleaner | Bulk email management in under 2 minutes | | Productivity Metrics | Automatic daily work insights and a productivity score | | Personal Memory | Remembers your notes, tasks, chats, and bookmarks across sessions | Floutwork also includes a Pomodoro timer, split view, full-screen focus mode, a command bar, and a built-in ad blocker. ## Who Floutwork is for Floutwork is built for knowledge workers who spend most of their day in a browser: * **Founders and operators** managing multiple projects, teams, and tools at once * **Product managers** juggling roadmaps, tickets, docs, and stakeholder communication * **Designers** moving between briefs, feedback, design tools, and research * **Any knowledge worker** who wants more structure, less distraction, and better visibility into how their time is spent If your workday lives in browser tabs, Floutwork is built for you. ## Explore Floutwork Get Floutwork on Mac (Apple Silicon), Mac (Intel), or Windows. These are the questions we hear most often from people evaluating Floutwork or just getting started. If you don't find what you're looking for here, reach out directly — the team is happy to help. Floutwork is a desktop app that serves as your Personal Work OS — a single environment that combines a work-focused browser, task planner, notes, AI chat, and productivity metrics. Instead of switching between a browser, a task manager, a note-taking app, and an AI assistant throughout the day, you do all of it inside Floutwork. The core idea is focus: Floutwork replaces browser chaos with structure, so you can spend less time managing tools and more time doing actual work. Floutwork is designed for knowledge workers who rely heavily on the browser and want a more intentional way to work. It's most popular with: * **Founders and solopreneurs** juggling multiple projects and communication channels * **Product managers** tracking tasks, meetings, and stakeholder updates * **Designers** switching between Figma, feedback tools, and research * **Consultants and freelancers** managing multiple client workspaces If your work happens primarily in a browser and you feel like you're constantly fighting tab overload or tool sprawl, Floutwork is built for you. Yes. Floutwork is built on a full-featured browser engine, so any web app you currently use — Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, Linear, Figma, and thousands more — opens natively inside Floutwork. You pin the apps you use most to your **Work Launchpad** and access them without leaving the environment. You can also connect your calendar and email accounts directly, so your schedule and inbox are always one click away without opening a separate app. No. Floutwork does not sell your data or use it for advertising. The app includes a built-in ad blocker that is enabled by default, and all **Productivity Metrics** data is stored locally — only you can see it. You can delete your activity data at any time or disable tracking entirely from the **Productivity Metrics** settings. Floutwork's business model is a straightforward subscription. Your data is not the product. Yes. You can connect multiple Google and Outlook calendar accounts, and multiple email addresses, within Floutwork. Your calendars surface in the **Task Planner** so you can see your schedule alongside your tasks. The **Smart Inbox Cleaner** lets you manage email from all connected accounts in one place. Yes. Floutwork supports multiple **Workspaces**, each with its own apps, tasks, notes, AI assistants, and settings. You can use workspaces to separate client work, personal projects, or different areas of your business. Switching between workspaces updates the entire environment — including the apps in your nav bar, your task list, and your AI context. Within a workspace, **Project Spaces** let you save and restore groups of tabs so you can pick up exactly where you left off on any project. Floutwork Pro includes access to multiple leading AI models so you can choose the right one for each task: * **ChatGPT 4o Pro** (OpenAI) * **Gemini 1.5 Pro** and **Gemini 2.0 Flash** (Google) * **Claude 3.5 Sonnet** (Anthropic) * **Perplexity Sonar Pro** (real-time web search) You can switch models from the AI Chat dropdown at any time. Each model has a description to help you decide which to use. You can also create **AI Assistants** — custom AI personas with their own instructions, memory, and file attachments — for recurring tasks. Focus and organization. Most browsers are general-purpose tools that make it easy to open dozens of tabs, switch between unrelated tasks, and lose track of what you were doing. Floutwork is designed specifically for work: every feature — the **Work Launchpad**, **Task Planner**, **Workspaces**, **AI Assistants**, and **Productivity Metrics** — is there to help you stay oriented and move through your work with less friction. The goal is to replace the scattered, chaotic browser experience with a structured environment where everything you need is in its place. Floutwork takes security seriously. The app is built on a Chromium browser engine and receives regular security updates alongside each release. Your passwords are stored in an encrypted **Password Vault** that you control, with import and export support for easy migration. Productivity data stays on your device. Floutwork also ships security patches in point releases — you'll see these noted in the changelog. Keeping the app up to date ensures you have the latest protections. Not currently. Floutwork is a desktop application available for **macOS** and **Windows**. A mobile version is not available at this time. The desktop focus lets Floutwork offer deep integrations — like full browser control, screen sharing from within meetings, and multi-monitor support — that would not be possible on mobile. If you work primarily from a laptop or desktop, Floutwork is designed to be your main working environment throughout the day. ## Still have questions? If you didn't find what you were looking for, reach out to the Floutwork team directly at [hello@floutwork.com](mailto:hello@floutwork.com). You can also submit feedback from within the app by clicking the **Feedback** button in the bottom-left corner. # Floutwork Pro plan: pricing and what's included Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/plans/pricing One plan, everything included. Get the full Floutwork experience — smart browser, AI models, productivity metrics, and more — for $29/month. Floutwork is built around a simple idea: you shouldn't have to pay for five separate tools to do focused work. Instead of piecing together a browser, task manager, note-taking app, and AI assistant from different vendors, Pro gives you all of it in one place. There is one plan, one price, and no feature tiers to puzzle over. ## Pro plan | | | | ------------------ | --------------------------------- | | **Price** | \$29 / month, billed annually | | **Annual savings** | \$60/year vs. monthly billing | | **Free trial** | 14 days — no credit card required | | **Free version** | Available after your trial ends | Your 14-day trial starts the moment you install Floutwork. No credit card is needed to begin. When the trial ends, you can continue using Floutwork's free tier or upgrade to Pro at any time. ## What's included in Pro Every Pro subscription includes the full feature set — nothing is locked behind add-ons or usage caps: * **Smart browser** — a work-focused browser with built-in ad blocking and privacy controls * **Productivity Metrics** — a detailed timeline of your activity with hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly views * **ChatGPT 4o Pro** — OpenAI's flagship model, available directly in your workspace * **Gemini 1.5 Pro** — Google's advanced multimodal model * **Gemini 2.0 Flash** — Google's fast, efficient model for everyday tasks * **Claude 3.5 Sonnet** — Anthropic's model with strong reasoning and writing capabilities * **Perplexity Sonar Pro** — real-time web search through AI * **AI Assistants** — custom AI personas with their own instructions and file attachments * **Work Launchpad** — your app launcher with folders, pinned apps, and quick search * **Task Planner** — calendar-connected task management with AI-assisted scheduling * **Instant Notepad** — a fast, always-available scratchpad with snippet support * Multiple connected calendars and email accounts * Multiple workspaces for different projects or clients * And more ## Why Pro pays for itself Replacing Floutwork with standalone tools adds up quickly. A typical knowledge worker paying separately for a browser extension suite, an AI subscription, a task manager, and a note-taking app can easily spend over $115/month. Floutwork Pro consolidates all of that into a single $29/month subscription — saving you roughly \$86/month and eliminating the context-switching between apps. The 14-day free trial gives you full access to every Pro feature. It's the best way to see how much of your current tool stack Floutwork can replace. ## Free version After your trial ends, Floutwork remains available in a free tier. The free version includes the smart browser and core workspace features. Pro features — including the full set of AI models and **Productivity Metrics** — require an active Pro subscription. ## Get started Install Floutwork on Mac or Windows and start your free trial. Set up your workspace, pin your apps, and start working in minutes. # Quickstart: get up and running with Floutwork Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/quickstart Go from a fresh install to a fully configured Floutwork workspace in minutes — add apps, create a workspace, capture tasks, and try AI Chat. This guide walks you through the essential steps to set up Floutwork after installing it. By the end, you'll have a working workspace with your web apps, a task, and a feel for how AI Chat fits into your workflow. If you haven't installed Floutwork yet, follow the [download and install](/download-and-install) instructions for your platform (Mac Apple Silicon, Mac Intel, or Windows). The installation takes less than five minutes. The **Launchpad** is your quick-access panel for the web apps you use every day. When you first open Floutwork, you'll be prompted to add apps. Select the apps you use most — Gmail, Slack, Notion, Linear, Figma, or any other web-based tool. You can also add any custom URL as an app. Apps you add here appear in the **Launchpad** sidebar so you can open them instantly without searching or typing a URL. **Workspaces** are separate contexts inside Floutwork — one for each project, client, or role you work in. Each workspace has its own set of open apps and tabs, so switching between them is instant and clean. Create your first workspace by clicking **+ New Workspace** in the workspace switcher. Give it a name that reflects a project or role (for example, "Client A", "Product", or "Personal"). You can create more workspaces anytime. Click any app in the **Launchpad** to open it. The app loads inside Floutwork's built-in work browser — no need to switch to a separate browser window. Tabs stay grouped by app automatically, so your Gmail tabs always stay separate from your Notion tabs. You can open multiple apps and navigate between them using the sidebar or the command bar. While you're browsing inside Floutwork, open the task sidebar by clicking the **Tasks** icon in the side panel. Type a task and press Enter to capture it. You can also schedule tasks directly into your calendar from the task panel. Tasks you capture are saved to your **Personal Memory**, so they're always available across sessions. Click the **AI Hub** icon in the sidebar to open AI Chat. Choose a model from the dropdown — options include ChatGPT 4o Pro, Gemini 1.5 Pro, Gemini 2.0 Flash, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, and Perplexity Sonar Pro. Type a question or prompt and press Enter. You can switch models mid-conversation, use pre-built **AI Assistants** for common tasks, or create your own custom assistants for recurring workflows. ## Explore what's next Now that your workspace is set up, dig deeper into the features that will save you the most time. The **Command Bar** is Floutwork's keyboard-driven control center. Press a single shortcut and a search-and-action palette appears over your current workspace. From there you can navigate anywhere in Floutwork, launch apps, search your content, and run common actions — all without moving your hand to the mouse. If you've used Spotlight on macOS or the command palette in VS Code or Notion, the **Command Bar** will feel immediately familiar. ## Opening the Command Bar Press **`Cmd+K`** (macOS) or **`Ctrl+K`** (Windows / Linux) from anywhere in Floutwork to open the **Command Bar**. Press **`Esc`** to dismiss it without taking any action. The **Command Bar** keyboard shortcut works regardless of which workspace, app, or panel you're currently focused on. You don't need to click away first. ## What you can do from the Command Bar ### Search notes, tasks, and bookmarks Start typing to search across all of your Floutwork content at once. Results appear instantly as you type, grouped by type: notes, tasks, and bookmarks each have their own section. Select a result and press **`Enter`** to open it. ### Launch apps from the Launchpad Type the name of any app pinned to your **Launchpad** — "Slack", "Figma", "Jira", and so on — and select it to open it in your current workspace. This is the fastest way to open an app when your hands are already on the keyboard. ### Switch workspaces Type the name of any workspace or search for "switch" to see a list of your workspaces. Select one to switch to it instantly — the same as clicking its name in the sidebar, but without reaching for the mouse. ### Navigate Floutwork quickly The **Command Bar** also surfaces navigation commands for every area of Floutwork: open **Notes**, go to **Tasks**, open **AI Hub**, toggle **Split View**, start a Pomodoro timer, and more. Browse all available commands by opening the **Command Bar** and scrolling without typing anything. ## Command Bar reference Type any keyword to search notes, tasks, and bookmarks simultaneously. Filter results by type using the keyboard shortcuts shown on the right side of each section header. Type an app name to find it in your **Launchpad**. Press **`Enter`** to open it in the current workspace, or **`Cmd+Enter`** / **`Ctrl+Enter`** to open it in a new **Split View** pane. Type a workspace name or the word "workspace" to list your workspaces. Select one to switch to it. Browse built-in commands for toggling **Split View**, opening **AI Hub**, starting the Pomodoro timer, entering full-screen mode, and other common actions. Power users can run almost every Floutwork action without touching the mouse. Open the **Command Bar**, type what you want, and press **`Enter`**. The more you use it, the less you'll reach for the trackpad. ## What's next Create and name your workspaces so they're easy to find and switch to from the Command Bar. Pin the apps you use every day so they're always one Command Bar search away. # Launchpad: your dock for work apps in Floutwork Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/workspace/launchpad Pin your most-used web tools to the Launchpad and open any of them in one click — no searching, no switching windows, no context lost. The **Launchpad** is the app dock built into Floutwork's work browser. It lines up all the web tools you use every day — Gmail, Slack, Notion, Jira, and more — so you can open any of them instantly without leaving your current workspace or typing a URL. ## What the Launchpad does Instead of bookmarks buried in a toolbar or tabs you have to hunt for, the **Launchpad** gives every tool a permanent, visible home inside Floutwork. Click an icon to open that app in the current workspace. The app opens in its own grouped tab area, keeping everything organized automatically. The **Launchpad** appears in the left sidebar and is accessible from every workspace, including the **Shared Workspace**. ## Pinning web apps to the Launchpad Click the **+** button at the bottom of the **Launchpad** in the sidebar, or right-click any empty area of the Launchpad to open the editor. Type the name of the tool you want to add. Floutwork includes a built-in library of common work apps — select from the list or enter a custom URL. Click **Add** to pin it to your Launchpad. The app icon appears immediately in the sidebar. Drag icons up or down in the **Launchpad** to put your most-reached-for tools at the top. ## Launching apps from the Launchpad Click any app icon in the **Launchpad** to open it in your current workspace. If the app is already open, clicking its icon brings that tab into focus instead of opening a duplicate. You can also launch apps from the **Command Bar** by typing the app name — useful when your hands are already on the keyboard. ## Organizing your Launchpad for maximum productivity A well-organized **Launchpad** reflects the order in which you actually use your tools throughout the day. A few principles that help: * **Put high-frequency tools first.** Place the apps you open dozens of times a day — email, chat, task manager — at the top. * **Group by workflow.** If you always jump from Figma to a staging URL to Slack, keep them near each other. * **Remove tools you rarely use.** A shorter Launchpad is faster to scan than a long one. Add every tool you open at least once a day. If you find yourself typing a URL into the address bar more than once, it belongs in the **Launchpad**. ## Recommended apps to add Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord Notion, Jira, Linear, Asana, Trello, Monday.com Figma, Miro, Confluence, Google Docs, Coda GitHub, GitLab, Vercel, Sentry, Datadog Salesforce, HubSpot, Intercom, Zendesk, Loom Stripe, QuickBooks, Expensify, Gusto, Rippling ## What's next Organize your Launchpad apps across separate workspaces for each project or client. See how the Floutwork browser keeps tabs from each Launchpad app grouped and organized. # Split View: work on two things side by side Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/workspace/split-view Open two panes at once in Floutwork — a web app next to your notes, two apps together — and stay in deep focus without switching windows. **Split View** lets you divide your Floutwork window into two side-by-side panes. You can work on a web app and take notes at the same time, reference a document while filling out a form, or run two web apps in parallel — all without a second window or constant alt-tabbing. ## What Split View is When you activate **Split View**, Floutwork splits your current workspace into a left pane and a right pane. Each pane is fully independent: you can scroll, interact, and type in either one. Your workspace layout is preserved when you close **Split View** and return to single-pane mode. **Split View** is especially useful for deep work sessions where staying in a single environment reduces the temptation to check unrelated tabs. ## How to open Split View Click the **Split View** button in the top toolbar — it looks like two overlapping rectangles — or use the keyboard shortcut displayed next to it. **Split View** opens with your current app on the left. Use the **Launchpad** or **Command Bar** to open an app, note, or task list in the right pane. Click directly in the right pane first to make sure content opens there. Drag the divider between the two panes left or right to give more space to whichever side needs it. Click the **Split View** button again or press the same keyboard shortcut to return to single-pane mode. The app that was in your left pane remains active. ## Use cases Open a Zoom call recap or a customer interview recording on the left while you write notes on the right. Your notes stay open without covering the source material. Pull up your task list on the right while you work in Notion, Jira, or any web app on the left. Check off items without navigating away from what you're doing. Compare two dashboards, cross-reference a design in Figma with its implementation in a staging environment, or keep Slack visible while you work in your primary app. Display a reference document, style guide, or brief on one side and write in Google Docs, Notion, or another editor on the other — no more toggling back and forth. ## Split View and full-screen mode For maximum focus, combine **Split View** with Floutwork's full-screen mode. Full-screen hides your operating system's dock and menu bar so your entire display is dedicated to the two panes. Press your system's full-screen shortcut (or use the **View** menu) while **Split View** is active to enter this mode. Pair **Split View** with Floutwork's built-in Pomodoro timer for structured deep work sessions. Open your primary task in the left pane, your notes or tasks in the right, start a 25-minute Pomodoro, and work without any reason to leave the window until the timer ends. ## What's next Learn how Floutwork's built-in notes work and how to organize them for quick access in Split View. Set up your task list so it's always ready to open alongside any web app in Split View. # Workspaces: separate contexts for every project Source: https://floutwork.mintlify.app/workspace/workspaces Keep clients, projects, and roles neatly separated in Floutwork. Each workspace holds its own apps and tabs so work never bleeds together. Workspaces are Floutwork's answer to context-switching. Instead of juggling tabs across a single cluttered browser, you create a dedicated workspace for each project, client, or role — then switch between them with one click. Every workspace remembers its own open apps and tabs exactly as you left them. ## What is a workspace? A **Workspace** is a self-contained environment inside Floutwork. Each one holds its own set of open web apps and tabs, grouped by app. When you switch workspaces, Floutwork instantly restores the apps and tabs for that context, so you never have to hunt for where you were. Think of each workspace as a separate desk — one for your client work, one for your side project, one for internal tools — all inside a single window. ## How to create a workspace Click the **Workspaces** icon in the left sidebar to open the workspace switcher. Click **+ New Workspace** at the bottom of the panel. Give it a clear name — for example, "Client A", "Marketing", or "Side Project". Open the web apps you need for that workspace from the **Launchpad**. Floutwork groups each app's tabs together automatically. Everything you open stays in this workspace until you close it. Next time you switch back, your apps reopen exactly where you left off. ## Switching between workspaces Click any workspace name in the left sidebar to switch to it instantly. Floutwork saves the state of your current workspace — open tabs, scroll position, and all — and restores the one you're switching to. Assign distinct names to each workspace so the switcher stays scannable at a glance. Short names like "Client A", "Design", or "Admin" work better than long descriptive phrases. ## The Shared Workspace Floutwork includes a built-in **Shared Workspace** that sits alongside your personal workspaces. Use it for tools you rely on across every context — your calendar, a company wiki, or an internal dashboard. Apps in the **Shared Workspace** are always accessible regardless of which workspace you're currently in. ## Use cases Give each client their own workspace. Gmail threads, project docs, and task boards for one client stay completely separate from another's. Switch between a "PM" workspace (Jira, Linear, Notion) and a "Design" workspace (Figma, Zeplin, Dribbble) without mixing tabs. Keep your side project's research, notes, and tools isolated from your day job so you can context-switch cleanly. Maintain separate workspaces for staging and production dashboards to avoid acting on the wrong environment by mistake. ## Keeping workspaces focused Resist the urge to open every tool in every workspace. Pin only the apps that are directly relevant to that workspace in the **Launchpad** — a leaner workspace is faster to navigate and easier to return to after a break. ## What's next Pin your most-used web apps so you can launch them into any workspace in one click. Learn how Floutwork's built-in work browser keeps tabs grouped by app within each workspace.
